On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,557. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR6.933 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,141.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.145 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.093 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 980.462 million, silver PKR 562.955 million, NSDQ100 PKR 330.941 million, platinum PKR 279.481 million, DJ PKR 219.116 million, copper PKR 143.727 million, SP500 PKR 83.895 million, natural gas PKR 77.560 million and Brent crude oil PKR 16.139 million. In agriculture, 40 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 48.189 million were traded.
