History tells us that nobody questions the victor. History also tells us that not many always side with the weak and the oppressed. Israel's latest war crimes against Palestinians is a strong case in point. It is, however, heartening to note that the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has passed a resolution calling on the council to urgently dispatch an independent international commission of inquiry to investigate "all alleged violations and abuses... in the context of the [Isael] military assaults on large-scale civilian protests that began on March 30, 2018... including those that may amount to war crimes."
Last year, the UN marked the 50th anniversary, of one of the world's longest unresolved issues firmly entrenched in the UN agenda; the Israeli-Palestinian conflict dating back to the Israeli aggression on Arab countries in June 1967. The UN has commemorated 50th year of Israel's occupation without providing any relief to the victims of the Tel Aviv's aggression.
