Senator Rahila Magsi has been elected as chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education & Professional Training here on Wednesday. The election was conducted according to Rule 184(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012. Rahila Magsi was elected as Chairperson of the committee unanimously.
Other members of the committee included Najma Hameed, Rana Maqbool Ahmad, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Molvi Faiz Muhammad, Quratulain Marri, Rukhsana Zuberi, Nauman Wazir Khattak, Meher Taj Roghani, Hilal-ur-Rehman, Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldini, Gul Bushra, and Muhammad Shafiq Tareen. Leader of the House in the Senate, Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq greeted the newly-elected chairperson of the committee and hoped that the respective committee under her leadership would play a vibrant and effective role for promotion of transparency and good governance.
