Workshop on integrated flood management held

Within the framework of the UNIDO/GEF project entitled "Sialkot Tannery Zone Project", SIALKOT Tannery Association(Guarantee Limited (STAGL) with the collaboration with of UNIDO has organized a consultative workshop on "Integrated Flood Management for Sialkot Tannery Zone Project held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Wednesday.
Chairman, District Council Sialkot, Ms. Hina Arshad, Chairperson Zila Council, CEO STAGL Ahtesham Gillani, UNIDO Country Representative Ms Nadia Aftab, NDMA, PDMA, representatives of international development agencies, Govt. Officials, members and civil society attended the workshop. Addressing the workshop Ahtesham Gillani, CEO STAGL, lauded the initiative taken by UNIDO and Global Environment Facility (GEF) in the mitigating strategy for Climate Change. He highlighted the collaboration between UNIDO-GEF and STAGL is spearheading the development of leather sector of Pakistan.
