In a major development to remove differences with Bahadurabad faction of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, Dr Farooq Sattar, Convener PIB faction of party announced on Wednesday to cancel his group's public meeting at Liaquatabad on May 4. Addressing party workers at Tanki Ground Liaquatabad, Dr Sattar also announced to go to Bahadurabad and invited Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Convener Bahadurabad group to respond positively to his gesture to save the party and its supporters from division.
"Time has come to resolve all differences to get united for success of mission of MQM," he said and added now all of us should be on one page by rising above the differences. Meanwhile, spokesperson of Bahadurabad Group welcomed Dr Farooq Sattar to visit Bahadurabad, a late announcement stated.
Babhadurabad and PIB groups of MQM Pakistan remained indecisive over holding of a combined public meeting at Tanki Ground Liaquatabad despite signals of melting of ice between the two groups for last two days. The chances of both factions inching towards each other grew after Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Convener Bahadurabad Group of MQM invited Dr Farooq Sattar to attend the public meeting of his group on May 5.
This triggered a positive response from Dr Farooq Sattar, Convener of PIB faction of the party, who sent some signals that resulted in visit of Faisal Sabzwari, a central leader of Bahadurabad group of PIB, headquarter of PIB group on Wednesday evening. Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui again invited Dr Farooq Sattar to attend the public meeting of Bahadurabad faction while visiting Liaquatabad Tanki Ground on Wednesday. "We are still trying to hold the public meeting together," Siddiqui stated.
