Temperature rises as Virat Kohli, Tim Paine clash of words continues

The ongoing Test series between Australia and India is getting fiery day by day, after rival captains Virat Kohli and Tim Paine continued with verbal spat on day four of the second Test in Perth.

The umpire Chris Gaffaney had to step in at one point when the two exchanged words while Paine was batting. The pair also physically collided when Paine ran down the pitch for a single and Kohli tried to collect the ball.

Earlier, Paine was heard saying to India opener Murali Vijay: “Murali , I know he's your captain. But you can't seriously like him as a bloke."

The sledging continued during the fourth day after the pair collided when Paine was taking a quick single.

"I'm not saying a word to you, why are you getting riled up?" Kohli said to Paine. To which the Australian skipper replied, "I'm fine. You're the one that lost it yesterday, why are you trying to be cool today?" quoted BBC.

To this umpire Chris Gaffaney walked in reminding both players that they are the captains of their respective sides. "Nah, nah, come on, play the game. You guys are the captains… Tim you're the captain," said Gaffaney.

As tensions rise on both sides the game draws towards another thriller.
