Arthur optimistic over Pakistan's chances against South Africa

Pakistan’s cricket head coach is optimistic that is side have a good chance to beat the Proteas at their home, in the upcoming three Tests series, beginning later in December.

"Its good to be back [in South Africa]; The New Zealand series [result] was tough for us and hard for us to take because we sort of dominated for 75% of those Tests but ended up losing the series 2-1" : said Arthur, while talking to media at a presser on Friday.

"This is not to discredit New Zealand at all; I thought they were outstanding and played really good cricket," he added.

"We've come here with a very exciting young team. This is a team that is starting to gel well together and we have been playing unbelievable white ball cricket. Our 50-over team is on the way up, our Twenty20 team has been exceptional but we are trying to build up our test team at the moment,” said Arthur.

The relaxed also gave answers in South African official language Afrikaans.

Under the leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan would begin their campaign against South Africa, on Boxing Day December 26th at Centurion.

Pakistan will also play five one-day internationals and three T20Is on the tour.
