Terming the successful holding of PSL-III as a victory of 220 million people of Pakistan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that a clear message has been given to the enemies that spirit and commitment of the nation cannot be defeated.
Appreciating the wonderful arrangements made for PSL-III matches in Lahore and Karachi, Shahbaz congratulated the nation. After Lahore, the peaceful holding of final in Karachi has proved that Pakistanis love sports and irrespective of the final results, the peaceful Pakistan has won, he added. He said the whole nation has given invaluable sacrifices for maintaining peace and due to these efforts, the sports activities have been restored in the country.
"It is my utmost conviction that difficulties would cease if we continue working with determination and the success will be achieved. With the grace of Allah Almighty, 220 million people of Pakistan achieved success and as like PSL-II, PSL-III has been won by Pakistan and the enemies have been defeated," he said, adding: "The enemies of the country, terrorists as well as the extremists have been utterly defeated.
During the matches, he said the whole nation was united and displayed national unity fervently. He said that nations move forward with hard work, commitment and honesty and Pakistani nation will be strengthened by following these principles. The nation has fully exhibited unity and cohesion and the PSL matches have written a new history while the courage and passion of the nation are further augmented, he added.
