On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,238. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.779 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,055. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.616 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.991 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.628 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.489 million, DJ PKR 1.207 billion, platinum PKR 382.356 million, silver PKR 200.052 million, SP500 PKR 161.597 million, natural gas PKR 60.027 million, copper PKR 26.558 million and Brent crude oil PKR 15.587 million. In agricultural commodities, 37 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 16.613 million were traded.
