Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that martyrs are our heroes and peace has been restored in the country due to their great sacrifices. In his message on the first death anniversary of martyrs of Chairing Cross blast, Shahbaz said that martyrdom of DIG Traffic Captain Ahmad Mubeen (r), SSP Zahid Gondal and other police officers and officials is an irreparable loss for the country and their blood will not be wasted.
"The nation will never forget the sacrifices of such brave and dutiful officers who have embraced martyrdom in the line of duty," he said. Paying tributes to immortal sacrifices of martyrs, he said that they have given immortal sacrifices for a greater cause and added that sacrifices of the martyrs, which have been given for peace in the country, will be remembered forever. Moreover, Shahbaz expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to road accident at Qanchi Morr in Wazirabad. Expressing heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families, the CM directed that best treatment facilities be provided to the injured and also sought a report of the accident.
