A wave of gloom pervades in both the centres of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan - PIB Colony and Bahadurabad. The MQM leadership has so far failed to resolve its internal rifts, causing distress among its members and supporters. The party chief, Dr Farooq Sattar, seems to have decided to cut to size his opponents and detractors in the party.
Rabita Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) shocked to learn that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has said that only Dr Farooq Sattar is authorised to grant Senate elections' tickets to members of the party.
The MQM's Rabita committee had earlier written to the ECP, stating that Dr Farooq Sattar will not be given the authority to award tickets for the elections. It, however, authorised Dr Kahlid Maqbool Siddiqui to award party tickets for Senate elections and perhaps beyond. Since Rabita Committee has withdrawn its controversial letter to ECP in order to meet party chief's demand a resolution of crisis is now very much in sight.
