Shahzeb Trunkwala, who has been elected as Vice President of recently launched International Socca Federation (ISF) vows to bring more international football to Pakistan in future. Pakistan has been accepted as the member country of the federation. Pakistan will also be sending its team in the inaugural six-a-side World Cup scheduled to be held in Lisbon, Portugal from October 5 this year.
One of the think-tank and key official of Leisure Leagues, which brought Ronaldinho and Friends comprising of several foreign players last year, Shahzeb said in a message from Birmingham that he will be trying his level best to use this platform to promote and bring more international football action to Pakistan.
"I will be trying my level best to bring more international football action to Pakistan. We are very hopeful that football will see good days in coming years in the country," said Shahzeb during inaugural conference of International Socca Federation (ISF) held in Birmingham on Thursday, February 8.
ISF aims to represent 2.1 billion footballers in the world and would be endeavouring to promote the game in nooks and corners all around the globe.
In its statement, ISF has also mentioned Lyari as mini-Brazil. With Trunkwala as one of its key officials, says better days for football in the country can be expected.
Meanwhile, Leisure Leagues has already been actively organizing small sided leagues all over Pakistan. It is also organizing tournaments in schools and colleges.
