Your actions dictate the consequences

You reap what you sow or you eventually have to face up to the consequences of your actions. This is what happening to the PML-N leaders who have been severely criticizing the higher judiciary since the apex court's July 28 judgement in the Panama Papers case. The Supreme Court of Pakistan seems to have run out of patience. It has therefore decided it is time to hold the PML-N leaders to account for repeatedly assailing the judiciary. It has sentenced PML-N Senator Nehal Hashmi to one-month jail term together with a Rs 50,000 fine, also disqualifying him from holding any public office for five years. PML-N leaders Talal Chaudhry and Daniyal Aziz now face contempt of court proceedings.
PML-N president and former prime minister is likely to be issued a court notice for making contemptuous remarks against the higher judiciary anytime soon. Little does, however, Nawaz Sharif know that his unwarranted criticism of judiciary has dictated the consequences.
