Waqar Younis fires back at Najam Sethi, tell him to stick to his ‘dirty politics’

Legendary fast bowler and former captain Waqar Younis has slammed former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi over his statements regarding the bowler and overall working environment in PCB.

Waqar lambasted the former PCB chief, saying that Sethi is now doing ‘dirty politics’ as he is no more the chief of the cricketing board. “Your [Najam Sethi] days in cricket are well over dear..Stick to your dirty politics,” said Younis, in a tweet on Monday.

Earlier, in an interview the former PCB chairman revealed about his years while serving in PCB, Sethi claimed that former head coach Mohsin Hassan Khan used to badmouth former captain Wasim Akram but now he is quite happy to interact with him.

“Unfortunately, lobbies do exist in our cricketing structure, there is this Karachi, Lahore tussle as well, which cannot be denied,” stated Sethi, while talking to local media.

Talking about Waqar Younis, who worked as Pakistan cricket head coach before resigning in 2016, Sethi said people had advised him against bringing Waqar Younus back, but he did.

His performance was not up to the mark and he later started speaking against me, he said. “I don’t what I have done wrong by him; I was the one who brought him,” said Sethi.
