Two persons were killed while three others including a woman were injured due to an armed clash between two rival groups in Baghdadi area of Lyari Town, here on Tuesday. Police sources said the two rival groups clashed near Ali Hotel and their firing left Khan Muhammad and Naeem dead while three others injured.
The bodies and injured were taken to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. None of the accused involved in the firing was arrested by the police and an FIR was yet to be registered, till the filing of this report on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, taking notice of the incident, the IG Sindh Police A D Khowaja has sought a report from SSP City. Meanwhile, in Landhi, police arrested two persons who were injured in an encounter with the cops near rice godown. They were identified as Sher Ahmad son of Faqeer Bux and Muhammad Asif son of Bilal. Two pistols and four rounds were also recovered from their possessions.
