The Chief Minister of KP, Pervez Khattak, has said that the meeting of the Council of Common Interest (CCI) has helped in addressing most concerns raised by the province. Addressing public meetings in Akbarpura, Kandar, Tarkha and Dag Besud in district Nowshera Saturday, he said that the Prime Minister has made the commitment of the provision of Rs 34 billion to the province before December 10.
He said that in next meeting of the CCI scheduled on December 11, 2017 an agreement on the payment of net profit on electricity according to AGN Qazi Formula will be signed, which will increase the annual net profit in head of electricity to Rs 150 billion.
The chief minister said that a receipt of Rs 92 billion in head of electricity has already been received by the province while the completion of the Chashma Right Bank has also been approved by the federal government.
He said that federal government will extend full cooperation to the province where natural gas is found and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) will bear the expenditure and the expenses of the province will be saved.
The chief minister said that National Highway Authority (NHA) is going to start work on G.T. Road, Nowshera-Mardan Road and Peshawar-D.I. Khan dual carriage way and during the next ten years the shape of the province will undergo major transformation.
Regarding sit-in in Islamabad, the KP Chief Minister said that a religious issue has been created, which had hurt the feelings of a large number of people and urged the Prime Minister to publish the report with immediate effect and unveil the faces of those involved and award them exemplary punishments so no one could dare to take such a step in the future.
Defending alliance with Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, the chief minister said that they have always supported the PTI led provincial government and especially played crucial role regarding polio and religious issues.
