Emergency to be imposed if polls not held in 2018: Ahsan

Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said on Friday that emergency will have to be imposed next year if general elections are not held. "In case elections are not held next year, term of assemblies will be extended by another year after imposition of emergency in the country," he said speaking at the "G for Gharidah" programme on Aaj News. He urged that Pakistan People's Party would have to play its role for holding of elections in 2018. He said that census had been held and now the bill of delimitation of constituencies should also be passed by the Parliament.
