Pakistan leg spinner Yasir Shah says he has never bowled better, after the leg spinner broke several records as Pakistan register a series leveling victory against the New Zealand at Dubai on Tuesday.

“I don't think I have bowled better, the wicket was helping with the bounce and break,” said the jubilant leggie at the post match conference, after his impressive figures of 14 wickets for 184 runs, won him the Man of the Match award.

“I got to know yesterday that Imran Khan had the most wickets in a Test match,” revealed Shah, who now boosts the second best bowling figures for Pakistan in a Test match. Shah said that he continues to improve himself and is currently working at the googly, which “is coming out well.”

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed also expressed his joy over Yasir Shah’s achievements, terming it “one of the best’ bowling spells he has seen in his international career.”

Similar praise was showered from the opposition end as well, as New Zealand captain Kane Williamson called Yasir “an exceptional bowler and a great challenge to face.”

“There were great improvements with the bat in the second innings but we were just put out by Yasir in the first innings. He bowled in some very, very demanding areas, but at the same time we do need to be better in that area,” he added.

With the series hanging in balance, Pakistan and New Zealand would meet in the decider on Monday 3rd December at Abu Dhabi.
