President lauds Bohra community’s role for country’s uplift

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi Thursday said Bohra community and Burhani Foundation were playing a laudable role for socio-economic development of the country and preservation of the environment.

The president said this in a meeting with a delegation of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat headed by Shaikh Kumail Shaikh Yunus which called on him here.

He underscored that the government had launched “Clean and Green Pakistan” initiative with the aim to address climate change and urged the Bohra Community to play a constructive role in this campaign.

The delegation informed the president that they were providing a gift of 0.5 million saplings for plantation in the country.

He appreciated the gesture and stressed the need for preserving the saplings for their sustainable growth.
