World renowned Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer's solo art show at the prestigious Zhengyanmen Administration Museum in Beijing, is drawing good crowed of artists, art lovers, diplomats and people from all walks of life and all the visitors are appreciating prints of his selected paintings and pencil sketches on display in the exhibition, first ever by any Pakistani artist in China.
On display in the exhibition, which has been organised by Pakistan Embassy in China and the World Peace Foundation China to celebrate 70th anniversary of independence of Pakistan and 66th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, are about 100 prints of Jimmy Engineer's selected paintings and pencil sketches of 18 old Chinese leaders, philosophers, scientists, actors and sports personalities. According to the reports reaching here from Beijing, the exhibition was inaugurated on the eve of Pakistan Day celebrations on March 22. China-Pakistan Friendship Association President Sha Zu Kang was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony at which Pakistan Ambassador Masood Khalid presented the welcome address.
On the occasion, World Peace Foundation China Chairman Li Ruo Hang, Chinese Internet News Centre chief Wang Xiao Hui, Chinese artist Ji Qing Yuan and Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer also spoke. They all appreciated Jimmy Engineer's efforts for further promoting time-tested all weather friendship between China and Pakistan through his very impressive creative art and at the same time promoting and projecting soft, positive, moderate, forward looking and peaceful image of Pakistan and its people.
After the formal inauguration, chief guest Sha Zu Kang, Ambassador Masood Khalid and artist Jimmy Engineer along with large number of visitors including diplomats, artists and others took a round of the exhibition. Jimmy Engineer will be presenting his selected painting depicting International Architectural Composition on March 30 to the National Art Museum for its permanent display there.-PR
