Pakistan Squash Federation in collaboration with Squash Australia and Sport Matters has initiated 'The Squash Classroom', a development project proudly supported by the Australian government using squash to promote health, gender equality and education for youth in Pakistan.
This programme will be held in four cities of Pakistan - Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi. Under this programme Pakistan Squash Federation will reach over 600 young people and they will connect with schools universities and squash academies.
The young men and women aged 18 to 25 who joined the Squash Classroom will attend a 3-hour programme each week for 12 weeks. The Squash Classroom curriculum includes 1 hour of classroom activities on health, gender equality and life skills followed by 2 hours of squash where they will learn the basic skills and tactics through many fun games and group activities.
The official launch of the project would be conducted on March 24, 2017 at Mushaf Squash Complex, Jinnah Stadium Islamabad at 11.00 am. Jurek Juszczyk, Acting High Commissioner Australia will be the chief guest.
