Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in his message on the Pakistan Day has congratulated the nation and said they at present need the same unity and harmony that was displayed on March 23, 1940. He said they could make progress and make Pakistan greater and greater by displaying determination and harmony to accomplish the dream of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
He said Pakistan was not established for loot, plunder, rigging, nepotism and extortion, but this country was established to give equal rights of progress to all and for justified distribution of resources. He said unfortunately past rulers distracted the country from its real destination but now Pakistan is heading towards its real destination under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that was dreamed by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
He said Resolution of Pakistan played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan and March 23 is also the day to pay homage to mujahedeen of Pakistan Movement. On March 23, 1940 the Muslims of the sub-continent resolved to carry out the great struggle under the flag of the Pakistan Muslim League and gave unprecedented sacrifices for Pakistan, the chief minister said, adding mujahedeen of the Pakistan Movement sacrificed their lives for the separate homeland.

He said promise should be made on Pakistan Day that no stone would be left unturned for a respectable place of Pakistan in the world.
