The city police Saturday registered an FIR against a woman and her son in the child maid torture incident and arrested them. A police official said that the city police registered a case against woman Almas and her son Muhammad Ahmed in the child maid torture incident. The police source said that the woman, a resident of Sector E-11, badly tortured an 11-year-old servant Saima and also cut her hair.
The police said that the maid who belongs to Rahim Yar Khan managed to escape from the house and took shelter at the house of a nearby neighbour. The police have recorded initial statement of Saima, in which she revealed that the suspects used to beat her quite frequently. She further disclosed that one of Almas' servants was also involved in torturing her, adding she was not allowed to go home for the last four years.
