Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) students visited Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE), Lahore chapter. The purpose of visit was to provide the students an opportunity to have practical exposure on the market trading and an insight on the working of the capital market, the recent development on the market front after inclusion of four Chinese directors on the Board of PSE added more significance to the visit.
Chief Financial Officer Ghulam Mustafa in his presentation highlighted the role of Stock Exchange in promoting savings and investment in the economy; the risks to which the market is exposed were also discussed in detail.
The students also visited the brokerage houses to view on line trading and the offices of CDC to understand the working of the Capital Market. Faculty Member of HCBF Fida Hussain Bukhari led the students.
