LTUs, RTOs and MCCs: FBR asks field force to take strict security measures

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed its field formations to take strict security measures at Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs), Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Model Customs Collectorates (MCCs) and other FBR's field offices.
According to the FBR instructions to the field formations Thursday, in view of the ongoing overall security situation in the country, the competent authority has directed that all field formations of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) immediately review their security arrangements/plans and take necessary steps required to ensure fool proof security of their offices and personnel.
The necessary liaison may also be maintained with the local law enforcement agencies in this regard. Steps taken in this regard may also be shared with the Board at the earliest, the FBR added.
