Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said here on Sunday that he has come to Lahore to support Pakistan.
"My opposition to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is still there, but I am supporting the state today," he retorted.
Talking to a private TV channel, Sheikh Rasheed declared Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali as 'schedule-4' cases, saying "the two have gone mad." He said that he was planning to file a petition against the ministers, but then reconsidered the decision as it could get them fame.
The AML leader said that Sanaullah and Sher Ali had threatened him earlier today (Sunday) through media statements.
"I am saying this on record, if anything happens to me, Sanaullah, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PM Nawaz would be responsible", he added.
Talking about Thursday night's Lahore Railway Station incident, he said: "I don't care about anything. I had no issues with the person who had thrown a shoe at him.
You know who has a problem with me. I was presented with a bouquet upon my arrival and then the incident took place. We have done all these things in the past", he said.
Rasheed said that he had all the cards, costing from Rs500 to Rs12,000. He thanked Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi for the invitation and said that the people of Lahore as usual had displayed their token love.
To a question, Sheikh Rasheed said that if people raised slogans in the favour of government then slogans against them would also be raised.
"It'll be foolish of them to raise slogans", he opined.
