Three Chinese miners, trapped for a week at the bottom of a chrome mine Bulqiza in central Albania after an explosion, were found dead Friday, the government said. Their bodies were recovered from a depth of more than 1,000 metres (3,300 feet). Three other Chinese miners were injured in the gas explosion in the mine on Saturday, energy ministry spokesman Dardan Malaj said. The Chinese embassy said the miners worked for Wenzhou Corporation of Mining Tunnel Design. Two Albanian rescue teams had been deployed at the site.
