It is a moment of great pride for all of us that FFBL and Fauji Group has added yet another feather in its cap by developing this 118MW Coal Power Plant. This impressive project has the capability to use both imported and indigenous coal and shall supply 52 MW electricity to K-Electric under long term supply agreement along with meeting power and steam requirement of FFBL fertilizer plant. It gives me tremendous pleasure to acknowledge the persistent efforts and dedicated hard work of FFBL and FPCL teams that has enabled record time operational commencement of the coal power project.
FFBL Power Company Limited (FPCL), is to be considered as an engineering marvel due to its non-EPC project execution strategy. It is the first of its kind mega structure in Pakistan which will act as a bench mark for other upcoming coal power projects. It will play a leading role in development of technical human resource for Coal Power Plants in Pakistan.
The vision and resolve of our leadership, Chief Executive & Managing Director Lieutenant General Haroon Aslam HI (M) SBt (Retd), to realise the project is especially remarkable. His guidance and perseverance helped the project team accomplish this gigantic undertaking in timely and cost effective manner.
Acknowledgments are due to our board of directors, stakeholders, financial institutions and contractors who assisted in development of this remarkable project. I hope and pray to Almighty Allah that we attain further such milestones and continue to succeed in surmounting the challenges of the future while fulfilling our role to the utmost in the economic development and progress of Pakistan.
