Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat shipped by rail to the US Gulf Coast eased by 1 cent per bushel on Friday while bids were unchanged at elevators in the southern Plains amid ample supplies and slow farmer sales, grain merchants said. K.C. March wheat futures were down 2-1/4 cents at $4.41-1/4 per bushel at 12:00 pm CST (1700 GMT), reversing after hitting a nearly two-week high of $4.49.
