Mandviwalla meets Khattak

Member NFC Sindh Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has met with the Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak to discuss the formula of new NFC award, in Islamabad.
While talking with the CM KPK Pervaiz Khattak, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that Sindh government has prepared its demands for the up-coming NFC award, it wants that collection of Sales Tax on goods and Federal Excise duty on crude Oil may be imposed by the federal government may be devolved to the provinces, after the 18th amendment these are provincial subjects.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that Provinces are not trying to change the distribution formula nor they are disturbing the devolution by demanding their rights. KPK support the demands of Sindh for new NFC award, as it is in the benefit of all provincial governments, he added.
CM KPK Pervaiz Khattak said that the Federal government is delaying the new NFC award with different tactics. Provinces must build pressure on the Federal government for the new NFC award. CM KPK assured that provincial government will consider the demands of Sindh and try to have consensus on it.
During the meeting both provinces agreed that they will build consensus on each other demands for the new NFC award within a month. Both urged the federal government to call a meeting on NFC award at earliest so that conclusive round of talks should be started on new NFC award. It is also agreed that more rounds of talks will be held to have a unanimous proposal for new NFC award.-PR
