In order to decrease the traffic rush in the city, the district administration has decided to shift Daewoo Bus Stand from Kalma Chowk to Thokar Niaz Baig. It was decided in the meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Sumair here on Wednesday at DC Office which was attended by Secretary Regional Transport Authority and GM Daewoo Bus Services and others.
GM Daewoo Bus Services briefed the deputy commissioner about the construction progress of new Thokar Bus Stand of Daewoo. The DC directed the Daewoo administration to make sure the departure of 50 percent Daewoo buses from new bus stand till 5th February.Meanwhile, owing to rain in the city, the deputy commissioner directed all the assistant commissioners of the city to go into the field and visit low lying areas and monitor water pumping process by WASA and LWMC employees.
