LHC moved to enforce labour laws

A citizen approached the Lahore High Court yesterday seeking a ban on children house maids and servants, and enforcement of law against violation. The petitioner, Ishtiaq Ahmad, submitted that the law did not allow child labour or keeping them at homes as servants or maids. He said, despite a clear ban on child labour in the country, children are kept as servants at homes and many of the children are subjected to inhumane treatment and criminal assaults.
