Smuggled goods, vehicles worth Rs 32 million seized

The Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Lahore seized foreign origin smuggled goods worth PKR 32 Million during the month of December 2016 involving duty and taxes to the tune of millions of rupees, said spokes of Customs department. He said the seized goods include latest 100 Foreign Origin smuggled smart phones of different brands, 400kg smuggled gutka, 0.5 million sticks of foreign origin smuggled cigarettes of high end brands, 670 kg firecrackers, 8013 kgs Iranian origin smuggled herbs and 3556 kg welding electrodes.
In addition, he added, the Anti Vehicle Smuggling Squads of ASO, Lahore seized smuggled vehicles worth millions of rupees.
