The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Azam Khan, the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary P&D Department, its members and respective administrative Secretaries.
The forum considered 70 projects pertaining to different sectors including Elementary & Secondary, Higher Education, Sports & Tourism, Relief & Rehabilitation Department, Local Development, Special Development Unit, Local Development, Roads, DWSS, Water, Home, Law & Justice, Industries, ST&IT, Transport and Health sectors for the uplift of the province.
The forum approved 63 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs 27262.803 millions. 7 projects were deferred due to inadequate designs which were returned to the respective departments for rectification and improvements. The projects approved in the Elementary & Secondary Education sector where included GGHSS at Sardi-Khel PK-72 Bannu, GGHSS at Jani Khel PK-72 Bannu, GGHSS Hussain Rustam Road PK-30 Mardan, Establishment of Cadet College Swat (Phase-III), Establishment of one Cadet College in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Establishment of Model School Battagram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Girls Community Schools project (Phase-I).
In the Higher Education Sector approved projects were included Strengthening of Government Postgraduate Jehanzeb College Swat, Reconstruction of Earthquake affected Colleges, Establishment of GCMS Women Sawbi and Establishment of Government Degree College in PK-21.
Projects approved in the Sports & Tourism sector were included establishment of Sports Complex at Kohat, Completion of incomplete projects executed by the Engineering Wing, Up-gradation of Archaeological Complex Gor Guthtree, Artisan Village and Conservation of Peshawar Walled City.
In Relief & Rehabilitation sector the approved projects were establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District Charsadda, Establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District Dir Upper, Establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District Haripur. In the Local Development sector approved projects were "improvement of services/civic amenities in the tourist area of Kaghan valley tehsil Balakot, Solarization of Tube Wells at Kalabat Township Haripur, Special Initiative Program for District Charsadda".
In the Multi Sectoral Development approved projects were Special Initiative Program for District Nowshera, Re-organisation of Special Development Unit, P&D Department renamed as Sustainable Development Unit. The one project Peshawar Uplift Programme was approved in the Urban Development sector.
In the building sector approved projects were included construction of Deputy Commissioner Office cum Residence Battagram, Strengthening and Capacity Building of Material Testing Labs for C&W Department, Peshawar.

Approved projects of DWSS sector were "Construction of Gravity Based Water Supply Schemes in KPK, Restoration of Non Functional Damaged Water Supply Schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provision of Funds for Maintenance & Repair of Water Supply Schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Construction of Water Supply & Drainage System in UCs Jalozai and Spin Khak under (IDPs/Refugees affected area) District Nowshera".
