A Karachi-bound PIA's ATR 42/72 plane PK-581 carrying 48 passengers and crew narrowly escaped a catastrophe on Sunday night when it took off from Multan International airport at 08-30 pm. The pilot immediately saw a spark in one of its engine. He immediately made emergency landing to save the lives of the passengers.
Airport Manager Azhar Mehmood said that the plane was safe and all the passengers were evacuated. Now engineers are working to rectify the fault in the plane. Passengers are highly terrified. Some of them have cancelled their journey.
PIA District Manager Baqar Naqvi said that pilot felt a spark in the engine and he made emergency landing.
