Basis bids for hard red winter wheat (HRW) in the southern US Midwest were unchanged on Thursday as farmers eyed slumping grain futures and increased demand from domestic millers, dealers said. Light export demand and plentiful global supplies dragged down Chicago Board of Trade K.C. HRW contracts. Thursday morning's US Department of Agriculture weekly export sales report showed net wheat export sales fell to a one-month low of 490,467 tonnes. Premiums for wheat shipped to and through Kansas City on Wednesday jumped by as much as 20 cents per bushel.
