Allama I.I. Kazi Central Library at University of Sindh, Jamshoro becomes the busiest and the most-coveted student hangout during examination days; as thousands of students engage themselves in arduous studies to better cope with their final second semester tests of 2016. Upon entrance into various halls/ corridors, sections, reference rooms and special study areas of the library, one comes to fall into an unusual awe to witness crowd of engrossed students hunched over their books in undivided rapt attention.
The library management too, walks many extra miles to provide extended facilities to the ardent readers. First such instance is the continuation of working hours as the library opens at 8 am and closes as late as 11 pm. Besides the library administration, upon special directives from Professor Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, vice-chancellor, University of Sindh significantly enhances the number of chairs, study desks, books, e-resources, online journals, online access amenities, digital operations and internet connectivity.
