Spot basis bids for soyabeans were mostly unchanged in the US Midwest on Friday afternoon, despite active farmer sales, grain merchants said. Soya basis bids declined by 2 cents per bushel at an Iowa processor. Strong export and easing dollar pushed soyabean futures to a new four-month high, which encouraged farmer sales. Corn and wheat trading was seen as mostly technical, analysts said. Analysts expected rain this weekend to ease the drought in the US Delta and improve soft red winter wheat growth.
