The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) and Wapda Sports Board (WSB) felicitated boxer Muhammad Waseem for defending World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Flyweight title by defeating Philippine's Giemel Magramo in Seoul. In a statement issued here Monday, WSB said that Muhammad Waseem is not only a pride player of Wapda but also a pride son of Pakistan.
WSB has expressed the hope that Wapda players would continue to bring laurels to the country in the international events. It is pertinent to mention that Wapda has been patronising sports in Pakistan for more than five decades. Wapda is the biggest employer of sportspersons in Pakistan, as more than 1800 players and sport officials are associated with various units of Wapda Sports Board across the country.
