A Lahore High Court full bench on Monday rejected an interior ministry's report about action being taken against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London based leader and directed the secretary interior to apprise about the specific action taken on December 07. Earlier, Interior Secretary Arif Khan presented a report and informed the court that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was in UK and to take up the matter with the authorities there.
The court observed the matter pertained to Pakistan and it would not allow anyone to speak against the country. Advocate Aftab Virk, Abdullah Malik and others had filed petitions for cancellation of MQM's registration as political party and action against Altaf Hussain under treason charges.
