Pakistan Muslim League-N has appreciated a statement of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for admitting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has got its due share in China Pakistan Economic Corridor and urged the CM to keep his words in this regard.
In a statement issued here, the PML-N Senior Vice President Engineer Amir Muqam, who is also advisor to Prime Minister, said that provincial government had always tried to create controversies about the CPEC but the situation is now clarified with statement of the chief minister.
Mr. Muqam disclosed that the credit goes to Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reforms Dr Ahsan Iqbal who held a very useful meeting with the CM and his other senior ministers and explained the entire plan, especially in context with the KP province.
He said that on November 10, the federal minister had also shed light on the significance, current progress on the Western Route of CPEC and assured that there was no change in the plan.
"Better late than never," the leaguer commented on the CM's statement and urged him to extend full cooperation to federal government in this regard in order to ensure early completion of the multibillion dollar plan within the shortest possible time. Meanwhile, Mr. Muqam said that federal government was fully determined to resolve all the long awaited issues being faced by the public especially in the backward areas like Shangla, Swat. He said that due to the establishment of two new grid stations, one at Besham Shang and the other at Puran Makhozai Martoong, the problem of low voltage would be resolved on permanent basis.
