Media urged to refrain from maligning any respected personality

National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has urged media to realize its professional responsibilities and refrain from maligning and stigmatizing any personality without evidence. He stated this while addressing a seminar on "Role of Media in Defence of Pakistan" in Lahore on Saturday. Ayaz Sadiq said an ethics committee should be formed to stop false reporting and scandalizing respected citizens.
The speaker said that media is playing active role in strengthening of democracy in the country and should project positive aspects and true picture of the situation. He asked media to highlight maximally the brutalities being carried out by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir against the innocent people of Kashmir.
