23 US universities receive grants to work with Pakistani counterparts

The United States and Pakistan are increasing collaboration to work mutually on various research and academic projects. According to a statement of US State Department, 23 American universities from 16 states have received grants to work with Pakistani universities in fields ranging from business development to gender studies.
Currently, researchers from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and University of California are developing a low-cost, blood-based Tuberculosis diagnostic test, more sensitive than the current World Health Organisation-recommended sputum test.
