China will send its master trainers to teach Chinese language in Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Institutes. These trainers will teach Chinese language classes to general public in major cities across the province of the Punjab and business sector's executives at Lahore.
In this regard, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) here Wednesday at TEVTA Secretariat. Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said in the first phase, Master Trainers is being invited for limited time period and after that services of Chinese experts will be extended. This initiative will promote technical education and vocational training especially in economic sector across the province of the Punjab. He said that TEVTA will provide training to 12000 people in this language courses across the province of the Punjab. In first phase, this course was started in Lahore and now it has been launched in major cities.
He also said that purpose of starting this language program in other cities is to make the already trained skilled labour force of Pakistan more acceptable in the Chinese market. He was confident that Pakistan can attract Chinese manufacturing sector by developing a trained workforce for industries all over the world.
Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and Vice President PCJCCI Salah-ud-Din signed the MoU. Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, President Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) Wang Ziha, TEVTA Officers Aamer Aziz, Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Uzma Nadia, Umber Chattha and other officers were also present at this occasion.
