LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 9.73 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3133.07 and closed at 3123.34 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.353 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.610 million shares, showing an downward slide of 1.256 million shares.
While, out of the total 102 active scrips 20 moved up, 59 remained equal and 23 shed values. Habib Bank Limited, Treet Corporation Limited and United Bank Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.47, Rs 2.01 and Rs 1.65 respectively.
Lucky Cement Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Engro Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.10, Rs 2.50 and Rs 2.37 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Javed Omer Vohra and Company with 307,670 shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 265,462 shares and Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited with 212,670 shares.
