NA-246 by-election: ECP declares MQM's Kanwar Naveed as winner

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday announced the official results of by-elections on NA-246 constituency, declaring Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate as victorious. According to the official results, the MQM's Kanwar Naveed bagged 95,644 votes followed by Imran Ismail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who bagged 24,821 votes.
Jamaat-i-Islami's Rashid Naseem received 9,056 votes. Returning Officer Nadeem Haider overnight announced the results at DC Central office. Overall some 131,424 votes were cast of them 1129 votes were rejected.
