Alleged rigging in 2013 elections: Imran lashes out at Iftikhar, Ramday

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan once again lashed out at former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and justice (Retd) Khalilur Rehman Ramday, alleging them of playing the role in rigging the May 2013 general election. Talking to media persons here on Saturday, he said he was waiting for the court to summon him over a libel suit filed against him by Iftikhar Chaudhry; so that he could expose Chaudhry in the court.
"Iftikhar Chaudhry and Ramday controlled the returning officers, both should be tried under Article 6," he said. Imran Khan added that a big election fraud has been disclosed in the constituency NA-122 after one and a half year. He said that returning officers were behind all the rigging and they were being controlled by former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and Justice Ramday (Retd) and that he will prove it in the judicial commission.
He claimed that Iftikhar Chaudhry also addressed the appointed ROs before election and then paid tribute to them after the elections for holding fair and free elections. He said Aitzaz Ahsan and Asif Zardari have also spoken about the role of ROs in the alleged rigging. "Additional chief secretaries of Punjab printed thousands of ballot papers in last three days and we have its proof that is why the PML-N is afraid of the judicial commission," said Imran Khan.
He said if someone blames them for rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they will open each and every constituency because, and added they were not afraid of anything like the government. He said had the judicial commission made a decision, they would have gone to assemblies but now they don't have any intention to do so. "We will take part in the Senate election only from KP. We are giving last warning to the government to make judicial commission otherwise we have the street power and we can put the country to halt," said Imran Khan. He said that his party would also make the PTI draft for judicial commission public that has been discussed with negotiating team of the PML-N; so that people could know the difference in both drafts.
