Election 2018: Maryam Nawaz to contest from NA-127

Maryam Nawaz,daughter of deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is all set to contest the general elections from Lahore’s NA-127 constituency.

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz during a parliamentary board on Friday approved Maryam's ticket from NA-127, local media reported. Earlier, Maryam also submitted her nomination papers from NA constituencies NA-125 and NA-127 in Lahore and from Punjab Assembly constituency PP-173. All her papers were accepted by the returning officers.

NA-125, previously the NA- 120 is the same constituency from which Maryam's father and her mother Kulsoom Nawaz won in the last elections.

As per declarations made in the former PM's daughter's nomination papers, Maryam owns more than 1,500 kanals of land and owns assets worth Rs 845 million. Furthermore, Maryam has stated in her election nomination papers that she had millions of rupees invested in several companies at the start of this financial year.
