ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Friday assured to make the final decision on awarding tickets to the candidates for upcoming general elections in next few days.
He gave this assurance while addressing the protesting party workers gathering outside his Bani Gala house.
The PTI chief said that the merit would be ensured regarding awarding tickets. Imran Khan said that alloting tickets to female candidates was the most difficult process.
"We are contesting the elections to win for bringing change, " he said.
He informed that some 4,500 candidates had applied for the tickets but only 550 tickets had been issued so far. He added that some 750 more tickets would be awarded to the candidates.
"I spent 126 days at D Chowk during sit-in, which was not as difficult as I found these three days for taking decision about ticket allocation, "he said.
