Four election monitoring teams announced for district Bhakhar

BHAKHAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced four monitoring teams for upcoming general elections which would ensure implementation of ECP's code of conduct.

The deputy commissioner was appointed as district monitoring officer (DMO) while four teams for PP-89, PP-90, PP-91 and PP-92 were also formulated. The SHO of areas concerned and officials of district and tehsil administration would also be accompanied by the teams.

In a meeting, Bhakhar DC Syed Bilal Haider said that candidates ignoring the ECP code of conduct would be imposed Rs 50,000 fine over the first violation, and over the second violation, a reference for disqualification would be forwarded to the ECP.

However, the candidate could file an appeal against the decision within three days. If no appeal is filed within given time period, the candidate would be disqualified.

District Election Commissioner Allah Wasaya said that the monitoring teams for four provincial assembly seats consisted of four officials including for PP-89 DD Livestock Kalorkot, XEN Highways Bhakhar, PP-90 DD Livestock Darya Khan, XEN Irrigation Bhakhar, PP-91 DD Livestock Mankera, XEN Buildings Bhakhar, PP-92 DD Livestock Bhakhar and DD Agriculture Bhkahar.
